ICT Support Officer

Port Vila International School keenly seeks an IT Support Officer to join our team.
To be successful in this role you will need to be passionate about relationships, community and organisation. You will work with children and families every day in your role, this means you will be warm, welcoming, and naturally curious about our school and wider community. You will be system focused, able to prioritise and make practical suggestions to continually improve the overall administration and operations. Significant technical knowledge of contemporary IT systems is essential. Take note of the systems and tools in use at the school. A salary will be negotiated based on the experience and capabilities of the appropriate candidate.
PVIS is an independent, co-educational Early Education Centre to Year 12 school located in Port Vila, Vanuatu with a student population of approximately 400 students. More than 50% of our students are ni-Vanuatu. We employ local (63%) and international (37%) staff. The school is proud to provide and facilitate the provision of scholarships to local students with an average annual value of 14 million vatu.
We teach the Australian Curriculum from early learning through to Year 10 and the SACE (South Australian Certificate of Education) at Year 11 and 12 (the last year of school in Australia.

We are always seeking great teachers at PVIS. Our typical recruitment cycle starts in August/September each year. If you especially interested in working in Vanuatu or have firm plans to be in Port Vila. We ALWAYS are keen to meet with suitably qualified teachers who are in Vanuatu. We are always keenly seeking eligible ni-Vanuatu teachers in Early Years, Primary or in our Secondary School. Versatile and resourceful teachers, who can teach a range of year levels are invited to apply for a 2-year contract position, or apply for casual relief (substitute teaching roles).

Casual Relief Teaching Staff – always seeking good applicants
PVIS is always looking for qualified teachers who are in Vanuatu (Primary and Secondary), familiar with the Australian Curriculum, who hold a minimum of a degree and further qualifications in Education to join our register of casual relief teachers. Please note we only recruit teachers internationally for a two year contract, and only engage casual relief staff who are in Vanuatu (or relocating here for another reason, such as accompanying a partner).
