Year 6 have been busy over the first half of year and we are looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead in 2017.
In H.S.I.E we have focused on ‘Our Identity’ and also on ‘The Place we live- Vanuatu’. We are currently looking at pattern’s and changes that are occuring on Planet Earth and how these impact people.
Improving our fitness for the school cross-country is our physical challenge while fractions, decimals and percentages are our current focus in Mathematics.
Science has us exploring Electricity. We will be busy applying our new knowledge to create electrical games for the year three students.
The students have looked at a range of writing styles and this term we are writing character reports as we study the plot and characters of a fantasy novel (The Hobbit). When the novel is finished, we hope to watch the movie and look at the similarities and differences.
We are also busy organising the school disco and are already beginning to look ahead at ideas for Year 6 graduation in term four.
