Pikininis are encouraged to participate in a wide range of play based activities that will develop their cognitive learning, their social /emotional development as well as fine and large motor skills. These activities include dramatic play in Home Area and Block Area to develop their sense of self and their relationships with others; puzzles and games to help with cognitive development and fine motor skills; Music and Movement activities and outdoor games to develop fitness, balance and gross motor skills, while more directed “work” type activities help develop the physical and cognitive skills that the children will require throughout their school careers.
We closely monitor each child’s progress and provide activities best suited to the child’s age and developmental level.
And like the rest of the school, we nurture a culture of kindness, acceptance and friendship in our classroom.
