He was most recently Deputy Principal (K-12) and Head of the Senior School at The Scots School Albury in NSW. He is originally from Melbourne, but worked for 18 years in Alice Springs (Central Australia) at St Philip’s College.
His early career was in outdoor and adventure education and then moved in pastoral care and student wellbeing leadership before and other school leadership roles, including Head of Boarding, Head of Department and Head of Students.
“I am a passionate educational leader, driven by the desire to make a difference in the lives of others, that they may stand tall and wise as the heirs to our collective future. I am committed to the holistic development of the child. Our mission in education must be to enable and inspire them with a passion for life and learning – a ‘beautiful education’ that unlocks their success. We must foster autonomy in their desire and ability to learn and be curious, breadth in their awareness and scope of interest, and persistence, determination and unlimited aspiration to be their very best.”
David is here with his wife Sue and two children Alec and Lucy (and his border collie Tintin!).
